Kissing Frogs

I received this image, Kissing Frogs by Mo's Digital Pencil a while back. I have a little cousin who loves to catch critters in her yard. One day her mom posted a picture on Instagram of her kissing a little frog she found. I was excited to color up this card for her after I saw that.

I colored the image with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers (color palette below). A added some sparkle to the dress with a white gel pen and put some glossy accents on the crown to make it extra shiny.

Mari Ko Creations Digital Stamps New Release

Today I am sharing a card that I made with one of the newest images from Mari Ko Creations Digital Stamps.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 Floral Wreath

I printed the image onto Spectrum Noir Ultrasmooth Cardstock and used a plain circle die to cut it out.

I colored it with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers. (Palette below). I also printed out some flowers from the Floral Wreath 1 set and colored them the same as the flowers on the main image. I fussy cut them and used them to create a border across the bottom of the card. I added some metallic thread behind the main image which I popped up with some 3D foam squares.

As a welcome to the new digital image store, we are offering 50% all digital stamps until the end of the month.

I would also like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Hey there! Today I have the card I made for an entry in this month's Scrapper's Delights challenge.

I used a few different Scrapper's Delights images on this card: Ghosts, Halloween Door, and Scary Pumpkin 3.

I colored all of the images with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers (color palette below).  I added the spider webs in the upper corners because the card was looking a little too plain. They were cut on the Silhouette Cameo from Black Shimmer Cardstock. The Background paper is from Fun Stamper's Journey.

I made the card interactive by popping up one of the ghosts on a wire I twisted into a spring.

Dia De Los Muertos

Today I am sharing the Halloween or Day of the Dead card that I made for my sister this year.

She's really into the Sugar Skulls and all that so when I saw this Viva Los Muertos set from Fun Stampers Journey I knew it would be perfect for her.

I used the small skull stamp and the rose stamp along with some clear embossing powder to create the background paper.

Then I stamped the characters in Versamark and added black embossing powder to them. I colored the charcters with Spectrum Noir AquaBlend Pencils and unfortunately I did not write down the colors I used.

I finished it off with some Nuvo Drops and the stamped sentiment on a hand cut banner.

Happy Halloween

Hey there, I'm just sharing a fun and super easy Halloween card I made.

I created the galaxy background with the Spectrum Noir Aqua Markers, glycerin and a white gel pen. This is a super fast and easy way to get some really cool background effects. I used Bud Green, Orange, Orchid, Marine and Black Aqua Markers on this one. (There will be a tutorial on this coming to the Spectrum Noir Blog soon)

I colored the pumpkin with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. After I colored the image I outlined it with a silver Spica glitter pen.

Here is the Spectrum Noir Marker Palette:

*I also used TB9 on the outline, but did not add it to the palette*

Blend of the Week - Pumpkin Orange

I have been wanting to start doing a color blend of the week for so long! I finally made the time to do it. This summer has been a time for change and growing and really deciding where I want to go with my coloring and crafting. I have been neglecting this poor blog and that is one of the things I definitely want to change. I have had ideas for thing I want to do here for a long time, I just never made the time to do it. But now I have, starting with the Blend of the Week posts.

Since Halloween is coming up soon I thought I'd start off with a pumpkin orange. This blend uses TN6 and 3 of the newer colors- BO4, BO3, and BO1.

Tomorrow I will have a post featuring the card I made with this image.

You can download your free blank color charts HERE to fill in with all your favorite blends.

Get Well Soon {Watercolor Wednesday}

Hello friends. Today I am sharing a card I made for a friend who was sick last month. I wanted something bright and cheerful for her.

I used the Sweet You Stamp Set from Fun Stampers Journey. This is one of my favorite stamp sets. I really love it for water coloring, which is what I did on this card.

I used the Spectrum Noir Aqua Markers to color the flowers and then brushed a light layer of color over the background as well.

For the flowers I used Sunflower and Fuchsia. I just love how easily the colors blend together with these markers. For the leaves I just used the Moss, and on the background I used the Teal, mixed with quite a bit of water to get just a light layer of color.

The sentiment is a stamp from the Sweet Sentiments stamp set from Clearly Besotted.

Introducing Threaders by Crafter's Companion

I have been lucky enough to be a part of something brand new from Threaders by Crafter's Companion. They have a whole collection of embroidery products being released on HSN today.

Everything was so cute, I just could not decide what I wanted to make. I wanted to make it all, but that just wasn't possible.

Once I saw the fox design I knew I had to make him. I adore foxes, they are "sew" cute (see what I did there?). I recently found a pattern for a coffee cozy so I decided to put the 2 together.  And the result is perfect!

I also really loved this little hedgehog and decided to make a set of coasters with him. I cut the fabric on my Gemini so these were so easy to make.

And the small size of these made them perfect for on-the-go projects. I worked on at the dentist's office, at the park while the kids played and in the van while waiting to pick up the kids from Youth Group.

And lastly I made this little decor piece. I used some fall colored threads here and added some ruffled burlap ribbon that I had been hoarding. I think it really works well with this piece.

There are loads more in this new collection so be sure to catch the shows on HSN today and come back here for more projects. I still have so much I want to make!

Back to School

It's September already!? That means it's Back to School Time!

Today I am sharing a few BTS cards I made for some special boys, the first one is for Landen.  (You can read about Letters for Landen here).

I used the image "Urban and Modern Boy" from the Paper Shelter on both cards.  Both images were colored with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers

Additional Supplies: Faded Jeans Distress Inks, Glossy Accents

The second card I made was for my Zachary who is starting 6th Grade this year! I still can't believe I'm old enough to have a Middle Schooler!

I colored this one a little differently, and I reversed the image before printing. I didn't realize until after I printed it and started coloring that the letters were backwards. But there are only a few so I think it works. I went with it anyway.

Independence Day - Let's Celebrate!

Today I am sharing a fun project that I made for Independence Day.

I used two stamp sets by Crafter's Companion - Independence Day & 4th of July to create this scene. I colored the scene with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and added some more details with the Crystal Clear Sparkle Pen and a white gel pen.

After I colored the image, I placed in the frame. I added some more stars I had stamped and colored to the frame as well as some wood veneer letters that I colored with the Spectrum Noir Markers and a stamped banner and a few sequins.

Love is in the Air

Today I am sharing a scrapbook page I made with one of the new Create-a-Card die sets coming to HSN from Crafter's Companion.  This set is called "Love is in the Air" and it is so so pretty!

It has been a while since I made a full 12x12 scrapbook page! (I was a little nervous about it!).

My cousin was nice enough to let me use one of her wedding photos on the layout. Aren't they just the cutest couple?

The die set comes with a lot of different pieces and can be used in many different ways. I love that it includes small flowers that coordinate perfectly with the larger dies.

I used the Shimmering Cardstock in Pearl Ivory and Black Pearl on all of the die cuts.

I used the Sterling Silver Sparkle Pen to color the ribbon so it matched the rest of the layout.

I used the Vintage Floral Plaid Rose embossing folder to add some texture to the page. The words were cut out on the Silhouette.

*The Love is in the Air die set will be available on HSN on July 11th!*

Congrats Graduate!

Just wanted to share a card I made using the Die'sire Create-a-Card card blanks.
Such an easy way to make some fun shaped cards, and they coordinate perfectly with the Die'sire Create-a-Card dies.

The image on this card is called Grad with Roses by Mo's Digital Pencil.
I colored the image with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers: TN4 FS9 FS7 FS4 CR2 DR5 TN8 TN9 TN6 IG9 IG7 IG6 EB2 EB1

The sentiment and embellishments are from the Silhouette Design Store.

Bridal Shower Card with *NEW* Die'sire Create-a-Card Dies

Last weekend was my soon-to-be-sister-in-law's Bridal shower. Naturally, I had to make her a super fancy card.

I used some of the new Die'sire dies from Crafter's Companion (coming to HSN on July 11th).

The large heart is a part of the "Love is in the Air" Die set.

The die set also includes these little flowers that fit perfectly over the large heart cut outs. It makes it really easy to add more color and dimension to your projects.  I cut the flowers from Navy Blue and Silver Glittered Cardstock.

The image I used on this card is from The East Wind on Etsy. I colored her with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers. (Color Palette Below)

Additional Supplies: Leoni Pujol Dies- Funky Heart Base
Die'sire Lace Corners
Die'sire Alphabet Dies
Nuvo Crystal Drops
Crafter's Companion Easel Card Base & Expandable Envelope in white
